Feb. 26, 1995   Incorporated by the State of New York as the "Korean Language Center of New York."
Mar. 6, 1995   Started Korean classes for adults with 28 Korean American and 15 American students. Teachers included President, Dr Sun Gun Lee, Vice President Geun Soon Kim, Mee Jeong Choi, and Young Shil Cha.
Nov. 20, 2002   Incoporated by the State of New York as a non-profit organization under ¡®The Korean Culture Research, Inc."
Jun. 10, 2003   The first Board of Directors meeting with members Ji Won Kang, Jin Hyeong Seo, Yeong Soo Shin, Sun Gun Lee, Chi Young Chung, and Bill Hwang. The following officers were elected to manage the organization: Chairman Yeong Soo Shin, Managing director Jin Hyeong Seo, Treasurer Bill Hwang and President Sun Gun Lee.
Jun. 24, 2003   The opening ceremony for the Korean Culture Research, Inc. at the Korean Cultural Service NY. A special lecture was also presented by Professor Charles Armstrong of Columbia University.
Sept. 18, 2003   Celebrated the 100th Year Anniversary of Korean immigration at the Fifth Avenue Hotel (now known as the World Toy Center) by re-enacting the visiting ceremony of the first delegation from the king , Kojong of Chosun Dynasty to U.S. president Chester A. Arthur.
Oct. 11, 2003   Held first training for Korean language teachers at the Korea of the Korean Cultural Service NY.
Dec, 16, 2003   Obtained the license for Non Profit Organization (501(c)) from the U. S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
June 18, 2004   Invited Reverend Jidam from Ji-Gok Temple in Kyung Sang Province of Korea to share a special lecture on Jak-Sul Tea (a type of Green Tea)..
Dec. 21, 2004   The Board of Directors elected Jin-Hyeong Seo as the new (second) chairman.
Jan. 22, 2005   Opened the Korean Heritage School for Adoptees Program at the Korean Research Center building.
Jan. 29, 2005   Held the second training for Korean language teachers at the Korean Cultural Service NY.
Oct. 21, 2005   Celebrated the publication of the English version of "Moo Jung" a best-selling novel by Kwang-Soo Lee at the gallery of the Korean Cultural Service NY. The party was sponsored by Cornell University East Asian Studies, Koman Sportswear, and Bill Hwang of Tiger Foundation.
Jan. 21, 2006   Held the third training for Korean language teachers at the auditorium of the Korean Association of Greater New York.
Apr. 7, 2006   The Board of Directors elected Bill Hwang as the new (third) chairman.
Oct. 7, 2006   Students of the Korean Heritage School of Adoptees participated at the Korean Day Parade.
Feb. 15, 2007   The Board of Directors elected Jin H. Seo as the new(forth) chairman and Bill Hwang as the vice chairman.
